Despite the printed caption, these are Sopwith 7F1 Snipes, not Camels. The unit marking is 43 Sqn RAF.

The National Army Museum copy of this photograph (Accession No. NAM. 2001-02-256-68) has the following caption: "This image depicts a Sopwith Snipe of 43 Squadron, Royal Air Fore [sic], with Lieutenant E. Mulcair standing in front. This squadron, based at at Fienvillers in France, was one of the first to be equipped with the new fighter, which replaced its Sopwith Camels in August 1918." Link: collection.nam.ac.uk/detail.php?acc=2001-02-256-68 Lieutenant Edward Mulcair was born at Montreal on the 21 May 1896, and joined the Royal Flying Corps Canada at Toronto on the 1 October 1917 (AIR 79/1371, Airmen's Service Records 1912-1939).
