Odom set a light-plane, nonstop distance record from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Teterboro, New Jersey, in the Waikiki Beech (see markings on left side), the fourth Bonanza built. Congressman Peter F. Mack flew the renamed Friendship Flame on a goodwill world flight from October 7, 1951 to April 19, 1952 4th Bonanza built. Preserved at the To Smithsoniam, National Air and Space Museum, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Chantilly, Reston, VA.

    A correction to the correction, it's either a Model 35 (built in 1947-48) or a Model A35 (built in 1949) Bonanza. The Model 33 Debonair series was the single straight tail version that came much later. In any case it's a great photograph and very reminiscent of scenes of similar airplanes in So. Louisiana where I'm from.
