The only version readily identifiable due to its pointed fin/rudder. Always an AKL-26B Stig

this is a Klemm L20 manufactured in Böblingen Germany by Klemm Leichtflugzeugbau in the mid 20ies
  • Stig Jarlevik said:
Yes indeed It is clearly D registered and had nothing to do with Aeromarine. If taken in USA, it is an imported aircraft. Stig

That is Warthausen's Daimler L20, WNr. 14, D-1433 during its round-the-world-flight somewhere on its US routing

So its that one again :-) How is your Klemm book coming along? Stig

Klemm

No Aeromarine built Klemm. Looks like an imported one into USA. Quite a few went that way, probably before Klemm arranged a licence with Aeromarine. We can even see the washed out German civil registration on the starboard wing. No US civil register applied so probably before 1927 Stig

That is Warthausen's Klemm L20, c/n 14, D-1433. The aircraft is already renamed from "Kamerad" to "Hunefeld", which happened in June 1929 in San Francisco.

Thanks Paul Didn't know it was possible to ID this one. When is your book due for publication? Stig
