This is a view of C Street, Broadway, and E Street all intersected by 16th and 15th Streets. I believe this is was taken post-1947 because the streetcar lines on 16th are visible, but they are paved over as they turn onto Broadway. With few exceptions almost every building in this photograph is long gone. San Diego City College has built on two of the blocks shown above.

Perhaps the last two buildings that still exist are the two apartment buildings along 17th Street at the top - NW corner at Broadway (now Sunburst Apartments) and NW corner at E Street (914 17th Street). The very top blocks (above 17th St. and only partially shown in photo) were demolished and now host the 5 freeway.
