Taiteilija Akseli Gallen-Kallelan (1865–1931) koti ja ateljeelinna Tarvaspää avautui yleisölle Gallen-Kallelan Museona vuonna 1961. Gallen-Kallelan Museo kertoo taiteilijan värikkäästä elämästä ja ystävistä. Museon kokoelmat esittelevät taiteilijan monipuolista tuotantoa: maalauksia, piirustuksia, grafiikkaa, veistoksia, julisteita, valokuvia ja taideteollisuutta; hänen henkilökohtaista esineistöään sekä dokumenttiaineistoa.

Tähän kuvaan on puhaltunut kyllä jotain erityistä, Sammon taonnan henkeä!?

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/trientalis] Todella. Kuvittele, Akseli oli 63-vuotias, kun ahtautui määrätietoisesti ahtaille ja hankalille telineille maalaamaan. Silmästä silmään sammontakojien ahjoon puhaltajan kanssa!

oaktree_brian_1976 Great, this is a nice link. There is also a book on the community in the home library collection of Gallen-Kallela, if someone is interested. Gallen-Kallela apparently was, when he visited the US. So there is more info available.
